Clean, well-organized, with a wide selection of French wine, cheese, charcuterie, and fresh produce. This is the go-to for gourmet grocery shopping at France-subsidized prices. You’ll save a ton of dough and feel like a local real quick. There’s also a location in Marigot, but the one in Hope Estate is easier to find and get in/out of.
This is the best option on the Dutch side. Solid range of basics, snacks, and international brands. Parking is easy, and it’s often the closest option to many Dutch-side hotels and villas. Welfare Rd, Cole Bay is preferred for the selection of French stuff. The closer one for most visitors is likely the location on Bush Road. It’s Dutch, but the best option for finding everything you need. Don’t forget to tip the bagger boys. It’s how groceries get bagged here.
You’ll see small local convenience stores—we call them “Chinese bodegas” because almost all of them are owned by the Chinese—scattered across the island. Great for late-night runs, beer, snacks, and basics. Just don’t buy meat there, trust us!
